I am a designer and a maker of quilts and textiles, made by hand - made to touch, to wrap up in and to live with.

I was lucky to grow up in a family that made things by hand: from houses, boats, furniture, to clothes, toys and family meals. it was an adventure in trying out new ideas, practice and more practice, and, always, wabi sabi. I love the wabi sabi, the patina of the hand, the stuff of life. It’s my terroir, the environment I grow in, the air that I breathe.
